Getting Here
Travel Tips and Transportation
However you chose to travel to Vancouver Island, British Columbia, getting here is an exiting part of your beautiful BC experience all on its own. The natural beauty that is the West Coast, seen either from high above in a plane, or up close while navigating the deep blue sea and rugged coastlines, will be a memorable introduction to our wonderous region.
The most popular way to get to Victoria, BC is via large Ferries that carry both cars and foot passengers. Boarding the BC Ferries from the Tsawwassen ferry terminal, south-west of Vancouver you will arrive in Swartz Bay, just North of Victoria. The Beaconsfield Inn is located in the downtown area: about 40 minutes by car from the Ferry terminal. The ferry ride is a breathtaking scenic tour of several Gulf Islands between Vancouver Island and the Mainland, and often a chance to spot dolphins and other wildlife.
If driving from the United States, there is the Coho Ferry that leaves from Port Angeles and arrives in downtown Victoria. We have compiled some handy travel links for you to use while planning your stay with us in Victoria.
